Why Palm Beach Homes Need Kitchen Cleaning

Serving Palm Beach, Port St. Lucie, and Fort Pierce

Full kitchen service: counters, backsplash, sink, cabinet fronts, appliance exteriors, and floors degreased and wiped down. Oven and refrigerator interiors available as add-ons.

The kitchen decides whether a cleaning service is worth keeping. It gets used every day, it is the hardest room in the house to fake, and it is where grease quietly changes the finish on cabinetry that costs a great deal to replace. Kitchen work is part of every standard visit, so for most customers this is not a separate booking at all. It is the piece of a regular clean that does the most work over time. It does come up on its own before a holiday, after a long stretch of entertaining, or when someone returns to a house that has been shut up under air conditioning for four months and finds the kitchen feels tacky to the touch.

How Kitchen Grease Actually Comes Off

Grease is not removed by wiping, it is dissolved. A degreaser needs a minute or two on the surface before a cloth touches it, and on cabinet doors it has to be worked with the grain and then followed by a second clean cloth, so the residue leaves with it rather than being spread thinner across the door. Painted and lacquered fronts want gentler chemistry than laminate does, so the product changes with the finish. Nothing abrasive goes on a cabinet door at any point.

Order matters as much as product. Upper surfaces come first, so anything that falls lands on a counter not yet done. The stove top and drip pans get a soak while other work happens, then come back for scrubbing. Counters, then the sink, then floors at the end. The things a fast visit leaves behind are predictable: behind the coffee maker and toaster, the sides of the range where it meets the cabinets, the underside of the cabinet edge above the stove, and the drain.

Why This Matters in Palm Beach

Kitchens in Palm Beach run under air conditioning nearly every day of the year, and the windows stay shut. Cooking grease does not vent outside, it circulates. It settles as a thin film on cabinet fronts, on the tops of upper cabinets, on the range hood, and on the air vents nearest the stove, and it holds onto every bit of dust the system moves around. That combination is what makes it stick. Grease on its own wipes away; grease loaded with recirculated dust turns into a tacky layer that has to be dissolved before anything will lift it. Houses that sit closed through the summer come back to the worst version of it, because four months of a running thermostat and no cooking still pushes dust onto a surface that was already tacky in May. Week to week you cannot see any of this. You see it a year later, when the cabinets have gone yellow and the vent covers look furry. Regular kitchen service catches that film while it still wipes off, which costs far less than refinishing cabinetry.

Setting a Kitchen Schedule That Keeps Up

For a household that cooks most nights, weekly or bi-weekly service is what keeps grease from setting, and each visit stays short because nothing has had time to bond. Monthly suits a light-use kitchen or a home that sits empty part of the year. What does not work is waiting until the kitchen looks bad. By then the film has cured onto the cabinet fronts and the vent covers, and the visit becomes a deep clean whether you booked one or not.

Start with a deep clean if the kitchen has not had real attention in a while. That is where cabinet tops, the inside of the oven, door casings and hinges, ceiling fans and light fixtures, air vents, switch plates, and hand-washed baseboards all get covered. Once the room is back at a baseline, a standard visit will hold it there. Refrigerator interiors remain an add-on unless you are booking a move-in or move-out clean.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you clean inside the oven and the refrigerator? Deep Cleaning includes wiping the inside of the oven. The refrigerator interior is an add-on rather than part of a standard visit, so ask for it when you book and we will price it in. Both are included on move-in and move-out cleans, along with every cabinet and drawer.
Can you get the grease off the tops of my cabinets? Yes, that is a Deep Cleaning task. The sticky layer up there is grease and dust bonded together, and it needs a degreaser, dwell time, and real scrubbing rather than a quick pass. Mention it when you book, and tell us if the cabinets run all the way to the ceiling.
How often should a kitchen this busy be cleaned? Most households do well on weekly or bi-weekly service, which stops grease from setting and keeps each visit short. Recurring plans come with a discount: 20 percent off weekly, 15 percent off bi-weekly, 10 percent off monthly. If the kitchen is behind, book one deep clean first.
Do you wash the dishes or empty the dishwasher? Not on a regular kitchen visit. We do need the sink and counters clear to clean them properly, so if dishes are sitting out, say so and we will load what is there into the dishwasher. Dishes washed and put away are part of our Airbnb and VRBO turnovers.
Do you clean the inside of the dishwasher or the range hood filter? We clean the exteriors on a normal visit and wipe the dishwasher door seal where debris collects. Pulling and degreasing a metal hood filter is extra work we are happy to take on during a deep clean if you ask. Anything requiring an appliance to be taken apart is a technician's job.

If the kitchen is the room that made you go looking for a cleaner, say so when you book, and tell us whether it needs a full reset or only regular upkeep. Pricing is flat and quoted from your real square footage. If something is off, tell us within 24 hours and we will re-clean it free. Call (561) 556-5899.

Booking a full clean instead of a single task? Deep Cleaning in Palm Beach covers this and everything else in one visit.
